Future Leaders
Sixth Form Future Leaders
We developed our Future Leaders programme in partnership with local universities and companies to ensure you have the skills for a richly rewarding life beyond Collegiate School. Each fortnight, a specialist team of teachers and instructors from the world of work and academia deliver four periods of Future Leaders sessions in one of six areas.
Academic Excellence
We teach our considerable range of A level, BTEC and CTEC in small classes so you receive exceptionally personalised support and tuition. To set yourself apart in this increasingly competitive world or purely for an additional challenge, you can choose from our carousel of extra qualifications, maybe an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), an AS in a modern foreign language or a Further Mathematics A Level.
Extended Project Qualification
The EPQ is a liberating, thought-provoking undertaking that drives your studies beyond the taught curriculum. Alongside perfecting your independent learning skills, it offers you the freedom to research an area you have a passion for. Universities and employers see the EPQ as evidence of a highly self-motivated individual who has the energy and motivation to do great things and stand out from the crowd.
To gain extra UCAS points, you will either submit a 5,000-word dissertation or a 1000-word report with an artefact.
Career Guidance
At Collegiate, we offer unlimited careers guidance appointments and a personalised career action.
Everyone in the Sixth Form works on developing employability skills with the help of our considerable pool of industry contacts and professional speakers. In weekly taught careers sessions, we identify your strengths, explore your interests and develop decision-making techniques to give you the best real-world tools for your journey after Collegiate.
Our inhouse career experts guide you through the process of university admissions, competitive school-leaver programmes and assessment centres applications and give you the confidence to shine in interviews.
Professional Projects
We have partnered with high-profile companies to create a range of professional projects that will develop your employability skills and put you head and shoulders above the crowd when you apply for university or take the first step on your career path.
Replicating real-life scenarios in industry, each project encourages you to develop your communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills, preparing you for the reality of work in whichever field you enter.

Employability Skills
With competition high for graduate jobs, it is important you stand out from the crowd. Our professional associates deliver lectures and workshops to help you develop the key skills employers are looking for.
Life beyond Collegiate
If you choose the academic path, we will guide you through the UCAS process, helping you choose the right course and managing your application. You can turn to our admissions tutors for advice and guidance every step of the way.
For the highly competitive applications – Oxbridge, medicine, veterinary and dentistry – we have specialist group support.
If you choose the increasingly popular apprenticeship path, we maintain a specialist group to support you through the process of applications and interviews.
