Collegiate School

It's Official - we're the Best in Bristol!

Collegiate School tops the table for Sixth Form Value-Added in Bristol.

The latest data for the Department for Education shows that Collegiate School is adding more value to their Sixth Formers’ results than any other school in Bristol.

Our Sixth Formers not only achieve excellent raw results in their A Level examinations, but they also achieve better grades than they would at any other school in the city.

The figures show that we ranked first in the region for results in the 2023/24 academic year, with an 'attainment 8' average score of 63.5, (The average score across all schools in the UK was 44.2).

Mr Jeremy McCullough, Head of Collegiate, said: "This news from the DfE reflects brilliantly on the pupils and their teachers and speaks volumes for the positive working relationships between students and staff at Collegiate."

NOTE: Value-added is a measure of how much better students do than students of similar ability at other schools. The scores are calculated by comparing the A Level results of students at Collegiate with the results of students in other schools and who achieved similar results at GCSE. A value-added score of 0.5 suggests that they get half a grade better in every subject than they would have done at another school. Full data can be viewed on the Gov.uk website.
