Year 12 Pupils' Charity Mission
During the course of their final week before breaking for Christmas, the Year 12 students of Collegiate ran various fundraising events in support of Charlton Farm and a very special girl named Zeniah.
Charlton Farm aims to help and support families who face the emotional and physical strain of caring for children who, sadly, are not expected to live into adulthood.
Dana McKee (Drake) is an OC and her and her husband, Mark, have a five-year-old daughter, Zeniah, who has epilepsy and a rare genetic condition called Mowat-Wilson Syndrome. Zeniah and her family have received a lot of support from the care team at Charlton Farm and our Sixth Formers have come up with a variety of ways to raise funds to help.
Some of the events during the course of the week included a cake sale (above), a hot chocolate station, guess the number of sweets in the jar, sponge the teacher (see below!) and a football competition. So far, the total is edging towards £1,000; a fabulous achievement!
